I wanted to be able to paint in a bezel but I did not just want to paint on paper and cover it in resin. So I gave Cement a shot. I pored cement into a bezel and allowed it to dry.
I added a large carnelian briloette to the bottom. I need to finish beading the rest of the necklace.
I am happy with the results and I like how the painting turned out. The bezel is not really heavy. It doesn't weigh any more that it would if it were full of resin.
I wonder if you could use resin clay. It dries white and I would think it would handle painting or using Copic Markers or the like. Never tried it but I think it could be worth a try.
ReplyDeleteive never used resin clay but I will give it a try. the color looks so beautiful on the cement Id like to keep that look
ReplyDeleteSandy, this is so beautiful! It has been so fun seeing all the things you're doing with ice resin!
ReplyDeletethat looks great, Sandy. What about adding white pigment to the cement when your mixing?
